Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 25-30knots Surf / Sea State: big shot waves Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 18 Weather: heavy cloud, some rain Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Sea was over half way out when I got on the water around 4:45. Rigged a
4.7m well depowered and sailed out though some big (for the Dip waves).
This was the windiest and biggest sea I have sailed in at Felixstowe. I
amazed myself with getting most gybes in, even if not in control, then came
ashore to rig a 4m but had better sailing on the 4.7m, as I guess it is a
better sail. With the 4m nothing worked for me. I sailed with Ian and Mark,
and off the golf 4 others sailed. One kiter was out doing 6-7 sec jumps.
The sea, with rolling waves and relatively smooth in between, was
fantastic; if only there was a little less wind it would have been a
fantastic day.
